My husband headed back home to get the gifts as we didn’t want to disappoint the kids. When he got home, the snow plow had gone by and winged the snow piles back. Needless to say, my husband had to shovel out the end of the driveway to get in. Then he realized that the car had a flat tire. He pumped that up and headed back to town as we needed to be at my Mom’s for 2 pm.
We enjoyed a nice visit at my Mom’s. The kids played well together and everyone was quite pleased with their Christmas gifts. We ate a delicious meal prepared by my Mom and her boyfriend. The meal consisted of turkey, salad, green beans, carrots, turnips, and potatoes. My Mom made me gluten-free shortbread cookies (which is the traditional way to make them – with rice flour), a gluten-free plum pudding, and some dark chocolate almond bark. I had a small serving of the plum pudding (YUM!), a shortbread cookie, and a small piece of almond bark.
My Husband pumped up the tire and we headed home.
