It was my rest day so after my morning meditation and personal growth reading, I focused on getting Ethan packed to go away to a water park with his grandparents, his aunt and uncle, and his cousin for a few days. He was super excited about it! After we got Ethan away, Joe and I drove into town as it was our family's week to tend the vegetable garden at school.
Tending the garden consisted of pulling a bunch of weeds, harvesting some fresh veggies that were ripe as we get to take some on our week, and then watering it. While I did the weeding and harvesting, Joe did his HIIT workout! Once he completed his HIIT workout, he watered while I took the weeds to the green bin.
I wanted to go for a hike at Rock Dunder so we drove there and hiked the whole loop. We only stopped at the top long enough to take a picture of a quad-copter that someone was flying around. Here's the picture below - isn't it the most gorgeous view! We love to go hiking at Rick Dunder and are so grateful that it about a 5 minute drive from our house!
I wanted to walk off that popcorn treat that I had. We'll see what my measurements are this week! Speaking of which, they will be on Thursday morning this week as I don't have my scale and such in Ottawa. With Ethan being away, I get to stay with Joe for a few days! The fat burn will be induced by my 2 day cleanse that I am doing which started on Sunday!
After our hike, we raced home, I showered, and then we packed to get ready to head to Ottawa. Once we arrived at Joe's new apartment, we unpacked our stuff and got him settled and then we headed out for a long walk around the town.
I was super impressed with myself as I didn't eat any of Joe's chicken shawarma that he got despite me loving the garlic sauce that it comes with! Yay! Good for me!
We walked around for 3 hours on top of that hike so I think I definitely walked off that bit of popcorn I had!
To finish the evening off, we went to the Northern Lights show at Parliament Hill. If you haven't been, I would defidnitely recommend it! It is very impressive and tells of Canada's history in a very unique way! Here are a couple of pictures that Joe snapped! Aren't they gorgeous!
