Breakfast was a superfood shake.
Lorne drove us to the convention centre again today. It was planned to be a long day - early up and late there with a few short breaks. David loves to ensure that people get their money worth and he definitely delivers. I ended up standing at the back of the room part of the day as I just couldn't sit anymore. The partners that I worked with were kind and stood with me.
Today was a working lunch - I had a chicken salad with lentil soup provided by the hotel.
Today we really delved into a template that worked well for training sessions. We also learned about the power of the pause as well as the importance of enrolling 100% of the audience. If people looked sleepy or were daydreaming then you weren't doing your job as a trainer!
For a late mid afternoon snack, we were provided a superfood meal bar that the wonderful company that I am aligned with sent for the all the training participants - somewhere close to a thousand people. They are so very generous!
Colin taught us about the importance of using effective hand gestures and how using the wrong one changes the context of the words that you are speaking! I had no idea! So much powerful information!
After a very late dinner of leftovers - ham, broccoli, and peas, we headed to bed again! Monday was going to be even earlier as we had to take the commuter train - traffic is just too congested in downtown Vancouver through the week!
