Personal growth reading is about to switch gears now! Joe brought home the Power of Focus. It is the next book that we are reading. This week will be the last week on Tribal Leadership where we will summarize how we intend to implement what we have learned into our life.
Exercise this morning was cardio and core. I have to tell you that I did NOT want to get out of bed today to do my workout! As I mentioned, I was really enjoying my meditation and to be quite frank, my body was aching so I just wanted to lay there! I even contemplated going back to sleep for a bit and doing my workout at night when I got home. Then I thought back to Tuesday night when I had to do my workout at night since Ethan has hockey practice and I am just not prepared to get up at 3 am so that I can fit my workout in before we leave. This allowed to me jump out of bed and get on that treadmill. It was the best decision! I began to feel better as I ran and my body limbered up. I knew that would be the case, but sometimes it is a process to work through the mental chatter!
After my workout I had my superfood protein shake and got things ready for the day. I dropped Ethan at school and then headed to St George's cathedral to volunteer for the morning. I ate my second meal in the car in the parking lot before heading in. It was trout, bok choy and cauliflower, and quinoa.
I ate my lunch in the car before I headed out. I had turkey, cauliflower, and beets.
I headed to get Ethan from school and then we headed to the skate park. He is getting really good at the tricks he has been working on. It is great to see him have such excitement for a sport. I love how friendly and committed most of the kids at the various parks have been so far! They encourage each other to try different tricks and teach each other new things - whether they know each other or not. It's really a shame that Kingston does not have an indoor park for the kids to go to in the winter months once it is no longer safe for them to be at the outdoor parks. It looks like we'll be making lots of trips to Ottawa to their indoor park over the winter months!
We met Joe at home and he cooked us a lovely dinner. I had steak, sweet potatoes, and mushrooms and onions. It was yummy!
After the movie, we headed to bed.
