I have been doing my personal growth reading in the evenings when I go to bed for the last couple of days with rushed mornings. I am grateful that I have still gotten it in as it is important to me. I find that if something is important enough to me then I make sure it gets done. If something isn't getting done that you are wanting to commit to, see how important you have made it to be in your day and how you can schedule it in - even if it has to be a shorter amount of time than you are used to. By doing this, you will feel good about getting it done and will benefit from it too.
This morning's breakfast was pork, peas, and quinoa.
This morning's workout was lower body. I had Joe take a video of me doing lunges and squats as I know that I can do more weight; however, my knees weren't allowing it. I sent them off to Coach Michelle and it turns out that I have been doing them incorrectly! Good to know! She sent me instructions on how to modify and do them correctly and also asked me to send her more videos with the modified form. I'm excited to have Ethan take a video of my new form and see where it leads me!
After my workout I had my superfood protein shake with extra BCAAs.
We headed into town to do a bit of Christmas and birthday shopping before Ethan's hockey game. Ethan was pretty disappointed that it rained because it meant that we could not go to the skate park for him to practice his scootering tricks. He was pretty grumpy so at one point, I asked him to stop and tell me 10 things that he was grateful for. He had a hard time getting started, but once he told them to me and Joe and I shared ours, his whole attitude changed. You can't be hateful and grateful at the same time as a teammate of mine says!
Lunch was salmon, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes.
Before heading to bed, I had Joe take my first bikini fitness poses. Here they are. Based on the response (or lack there of) from my pose coach, I am guessing they are really bad, but I'll have to wait till we chat this week. Here are the two front poses I am choosing from as well as the back pose. It is uncomfortable for me to post these, however, I am committed to doing things that I fear each day and I am also committed to sharing this journey completely with you. I want to people to know that change isn't always easy, but it is always possible. We just have to be committed to doing the hard things and being a disaster until we become a master!
P.S. We're in the midst of renovating (and have been for a while) so don't mind the clashing colours!
Which front pose do you like better? Which one showcases my physique more?
I'm not excited about the back pose, but it's all about sticking your butt out! I think my legs need to be wider apart and more stiff. I'll see what my coach Zara says!
I had a team call just before bed about our Live Happy Soul movement that we are getting ready to launch. Exciting! I'd love you to join us on this wonderful journey! We'll have a weekly "assignment" and it will run from Oct 23rd until mid-May of 2017. It's going to be fun! It's all about filling our cup first and giving to others from the overflow, giving back to others, and learning how to take better care of ourselves.
Here's my measurements, as promised.
