Again today I did my personal growth reading as I went to bed. I have been finding that it is a nice way to end my day and also gives my mind an assignment to work on during my sleep! I have been waking up in a good mood despite not getting quality sleep lately. I will have to examine if the mind assignment is affecting my sleep or not. If so, I will play with better times to do my reading. It's all about trying new things and new ways of doing things to see what really works best for us. We are all individuals after all!
My workout this morning was upper body. Of course I had my superfood protein shake with extra Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAA) Recover added. Why do I have these shakes twice a day every day? ... Because they contain all the nutrients my body and hard working muscles need to build and repair. I also take extra vitamins to ensure that my body gets what it needs each and every day. With the state of our food these days I feel good knowing that I am getting all the nutrients including vitamins and the 70 required minerals needed for my body to perform optimally! I also feel great knowing that Ethan and Joe are also getting what they need via the superfood protein shakes and vitamins I give them. The reality is that with modern farming practices and the state of our soil, our food just doesn't contain all the nutrients that it used to and that our bodies need! it is sad that we are a society of people who are overfed but undernourished. That's why our body continually signals us to eat with cravings because it is starving for nutrients.
My second meal of the day I had lamb, cauliflower, and squash at my Mom's after dropping Ethan at school.
I worked on the curtains for Ethan's classroom this morning. I have to tell you that it was not enjoyable and was actually quite frustrating. Even though I am not enjoying it at all, I made a commitment to Ethan's teacher to do them. I am grateful that my Mom was willing to help me with them as I messed up the first one that I made. Despite clarifying that the measurements given were L x W, I made the curtain W x L! I did tell her that I wasn't the best sewer!
Lunch was lamb, rainbow chard, and rice.
After lunch I had my first posing coaching session with coach Zara. I felt much better after the session as I learned that there were only a few tweaks that we needed to make at this point. Of course as we get closer we will get more particular. I definitely needed to have a wider stance for the back pose! I have to take new pictures with the adjustments this weekend when Joe gets home so I will post those once I have them! I have also learned that insecurities come up when I am being officially judged! WOW! This competition is going to be such a learning experience for me. Bring on the learns! Hmmm I wonder if that was part of my grouchiness while making the curtains yesterday morning .....
After my posing session, I headed to pick Ethan up from school. We went to the skate park and then headed to Wendy's Country Market for some meat for dinner. We chose trout.
Dinner was trout, broccoli, and quinoa pasta.
