After my workout I had my superfood protein shake with Recover. I'm really grateful to have these products as they amp up my workouts and take them to whole new level. They give my muscles the energy to lift a little more with Power and to run a little longer as well as to Recover more quickly!
After taking Ethan to school today, I headed back home to work. I had called off volunteering on Thursday night as Ethan wasn't feeling well Thursday with a headache, but he woke Friday raring to go. His headache was gone and he was feeling himself again.
I accomplished a lot of work during my time at home. It felt good to be back in solid action again!
I headed to school to pick Ethan up. I learned that he had been in an altercation at school with another student. He was defending himself so I struggle with what is right in this situation. With having been bullied throughout grade school myself and never standing up for myself, I have told him that he should stand up for himself. Hitting is not a solution of course, but when talking to the other child isn't working, what is the answer? Hitting the child back is clearly not the answer either. It is my intention to come to a mutually agreeable solution with the school and the parents of the other child. Ethan is not one to lash out for no reason, but he isn't one to take crap either. So far I have told him that he is not in trouble with me, although he is in trouble at school, and that I do not have an answer as to what the best path forward is. I have told him that I will work with people involved to come to a good solution so that will have the hitting stop!
Ethan and I headed to the skate park so he could scooter for a bit since the weather was agreeable and then we headed home to have dinner with Joe.
Dinner was a pork chop, green beans, and butternut squash for me.
