After my workout I had my superfood protein shake with Recover in it.
I got ready for the day and got Ethan up to take him to school. So far so good on the new schedule!
I looked out the window and realized that the driveway was covered in 2 feet of snow and that I was going to need to shovel the whole thing in order to get out. Our driveway is about 100 ft long and 3 cars wide at the top! I need to get a lesson on how to use the snow blower this weekend from Joe! Ethan and I headed out to shovel, but I quickly realized that this wasn't going to happen! My back was not liking the shoveling and so I unpacked the car and Ethan and I headed inside. I called Ethan's school to let them know that he wouldn't be at school for the day. I called our neighbor to find out who she uses to plow her laneway from time to time. I called the guy and he came and plowed our driveway. Since they were recommending that people stay off the roads and I had already called Ethan off school, I kept him home for the day. He played outside all morning and had a blast in the snow while I followed my schedule and got to work!
I had a team call that I attended while I ate my second meal of the day. I had chicken and Brussels sprouts.
After team call, I did some more work.
I took a lunch break with Ethan and had my third meal of the day. I had sardines and broccoli.
I got back to work after lunch.
I have been reflecting on a question that I was asked when I was interviewed for the health tele-summit that I attended on the weekend. That question was surrounding my current nutrition plan and whether I would continue to eat this way even after my fitness competition is done. I answered that I would do that. I like that I eat several times a day. The only thing that I believe that I will change is that I will allow treats once in a while. I don't eat them often, but it has been challenging to not eat a dessert at my own birthday parties lately! What has kept me on course was keeping my goal in front of me.
I'm also working with the following two affirmations these days so I thought I would share them with you!
One of the reasons that I chose to live in the country was so that I could buy a house that didn't leave me house poor. I wanted to have a comfortable home that didn't cost me a lot every month. By staying in the country, I am able to ensure that I put the highest quality nutrition into my body as well as into Ethan and Joe too. Before I found my superfood nutrition company, it was not unheard of for me to spend more on groceries and supplements than most people spend on a mortgage each month. To me, our bodies were worth this investment each and every day. Now that I have found my superfood nutrition company, we get thee best quality superfood nutrition sourced from the best locations in the world as well as the supplements that our body needs and we save money.
The reason that we continue to take supplements is because we still buy food from the grocery store to complement the local food that we buy from Wendy's Country Market. The reality of the food at the grocery store this day and age is that it just doesn't have the nutrients that it used to have. Even organic foods at the grocery store don't have the nutrients they used to have. This is due to modern farming practices as well as the depletion of nutrients in the soil. If the nutrient isn't in the soil, the nutrient isn't in the food! At least with organic foods one doesn't ingest all the chemicals that we have no idea what they are doing to our bodies long term! The rise in allergies is a direct result of genetically modified foods, in my opinion. Our bodies don't recognize these items as food!
Everyone needs to look after their health today so they can enjoy these high numbers of age! Make your health a priority so that you don't spend your fortune that you worked your whole life to accumulate on getting your health back!
Our western world is overfed and undernourished! A lot of the western world are just eating calories and not nutrients.
Here's a short video which talks about how our food will never be enough again.
Everyone also needs to cleanse. More on that another day!
