Ethan's team won their final game in the tournament with 4 points and put them in first place in the tournament. This gave them the home team advantage in the Division A finals. We headed home after the game to relax and wait until the championship game. On the way I ate my second meal of the day which was pork roast and broccoli.
When we got home, I did my second workout of the day which was lower body. I felt much better with more energy which was good as doing my lower body workout takes a lot of energy. After my workout, I had my other superfood protein shake with Recover in it.
We headed back to the hockey rink for the championship game. Ethan's team won in overtime with a sudden death goal made by one of his teammates, also named Ethan. It was an exciting game and very intense! Our Ethan made several amazing saves by defensively protecting his goalie. It was amazing to see! He also carried the puck and got a shot on goal, but was not successful in his attempt. Joe and I are so proud of how he has raised the bar in his playing! There are several factors in his improvement this year with some of them being his wonderful coaching team including Pete and Joel, him watching the movie 'When the Game Stands Tall" and deciding to give his perfect effort in all practices and games, him maturing and getting more experience, and him making the decision to do better. Here are some pictures of the champs!
After the game we headed to the movie. I ate my fourth meal of the day which was pork roast and broccoli on the way to the theatre.
After the movie on the way to the grocery store, I ate my last meal of the day which was pork roast and asparagus. We got groceries for our special seafood New Year's Eve dinner to be had on Saturday evening and then headed home. Ethan had a bite to eat and then we all headed to bed. We were all tired from the early and long days at the hockey rink. There's something to be said about all that excitement and how much it wears you out!
When I post Saturday's blog on Monday, I will have my final measurements for this program as well as final pictures too. I'm excited to get started on the new program which I'll get next week!
