By the time I got all that done, it was only 630 am so I decided to make myself a nice cup of dandelion root tea and have an Epsom Salt bath. What a special treat! I thoroughly enjoyed my treat!
I got Ethan up and then we headed to school.
After I dropped him off, I headed to my Mom's to work for the day. I had my second meal of the day when I got there which was a pork chop and cabbage. I am doing 5 low days this week so no complex carbohydrates. Then it was time for book club call. We had a wonderful conversation about chapter 7 in The Power of Focus about asking for what you want. It is a good reminder that if you don't ask, you won't know. What's the worst thing that can happen from asking? The person says, "No." The best thing that can happen is that they say, "Yes!" You won't know until you ask!
After book club, I headed to get an ultrasound to see how my fibroid is doing. I will get the results in about a week. I feel confident that it is shrinking with the measures that I have put in place. I have certainly noticed a decline in the symptoms I was having. Do I miss my coffee, green tea, and dark chocolate? Yes! Is it worth it to give up the caffeine on those to have reduced symptoms? Absolutely!! That brings up a common misconception about green tea. A lot of people think that it is caffeine-free. This is not true. Black tea, green tea, and white tea all come form the same plant, Camellia sinensis, but are just processed differently. They all have caffeine unless they are de-caffeinated. If you get a de-caffeinated variety, be sure it is decaffeinated by the CO2 process.
After my ultrasound, I headed to meet my friend, Paul, for lunch. I had meat balls and Brussels sprouts. We had a lovely conversation. I enjoy his point of view on things.
After lunch, I headed back to my Mom's to work. I had a coaching call at 2:20 that I needed to prepare for so I did that
After my coaching call, I headed to pick Ethan up and then we headed to do some shopping. We bought the last few Christmas gifts for this two baby cousins and also picked out some gifts for the Christmas family that our chiropractor is sponsoring. Fun! On our way home, we dropped off the gifts for the Christmas family at the chiropractor's office and then headed home for dinner.
For dinner I had goat's stew and cauliflower.
After dinner, we tried to participated in Wonderful Wednesday. This week's conversation was about some things that we are good at and that we feel good doing. Ethan named playing the guitar. He certainly is getting very good at that and I know that he loves to do it as he does it pretty well every evening now that his thumb is all healed up. I named several things including helping others, teaching others abut nutrition, and going first.
After the call, I got lunches packed and the dishes done and we headed to bed. It was quite late Ethan crashed - no book tonight. I read for a bit in Feeling Good and then headed to bed myself.
