After my workout I got stuff ready for the day and had my superfood protein shake with Recover in it. I really appreciated that shake after my cleanse day yesterday! I was also very grateful that my cleanse day was a successful one!
I got Ethan up and we rushed out the door so that we could make his orthodontist appointment on time. The orthodontist confirmed what the dentist had said - there is no room for Ethan's two canines that are trying to come in. He has suggested the removal of the two baby teeth that are blocking their progress as well as shaving the two baby teeth on the one side of each canine to make room for the adult teeth to come in. I like that he is being very careful to have just enough room for the adult teeth as too much space also causes issues. He welcomed Ethan to get the baby teeth out on his own before the dentist has to, so we will see if he is able to do that.
I dropped him at school, had my second meal of the day which was mussels and cauliflower, and then lead book club call this morning. The chapter we read for this past week was called The Confidence Factor. It was a great chapter and really was an appropriate one for me to choose to lead since it encapsulated my main guiding light statement of, "I Am Enough". If you have not read a book before with a club, I highly recommend it as different people take away different ideas and bring so much learning to the collective! I'd love you to grab the book and join the call next Wednesday morning from 930 am - 1030 am. If you aren't able to be on the call, grab the book and participate in the conversation on my community page.
After book club, I had a call with some of my team members and then headed to my friend, Ted's, for lunch. We enjoyed another enlightening conversation. I love that he has so much wisdom. I believe that part of it is gleaned from all the years he has spent with the Tibetan Monks in India. He is currently running a fundraiser to help build a new monastery and home for some of the monks over there. He travels there and lives with them each winter. I would love to go someday! If you would enjoy helping, let me know and I can point you to this fundraising page. He's also selling candles from his home on December 11th. I can also shoot you those details. Send me a message if you're interested.
After lunch I went to my Mom's and had tea with her. I hadn't spent time with her in quite a while so it was very enjoyable to have tea and chat with her for a bit.
After tea, it was time to head to pick Ethan up from school. While I waited for him to come out, I had a call with another team member.
We headed home and I got dinner ready for us. We ate while participating in Wonderful Wednesday with Trevor. It was a cool conversation. We talked about leading from the inside out. One of my signature gifts is courage. I am willing to go first and try most new things. I believe that this helps others to be willing to step into their greatness as well.
After the call, I thought about my signature gift and the two guiding light statements that I am working with, "I Am Enough" and "Courageous and graceful self-expression". I then thought about how I had chose not to post my before and current pictures yesterday. I thought about how I want people to know that they can do it too - they can change their life for the better. All they need to do is take small steps each day towards their desired outcome. Finally, I thought about what message my not be willing to post those pictures sent to people. I asked myself, "What would I Am Enough do? What would courageous and graceful self-expression do? " and ultimately I decided that courage would post the pictures despite not being totally happy with them. Courage would do it in hopes of helping someone. So here they are below.
I am working hard to not be judgmental of them.
I hope that by me posting these pictures it inspires someone to take the leap and to say YES! to their health and their life! I hope that it helps someone know that they Are Enough and that they can do it too!
This is not the bikini that I will wear for the competition. It is just a random bikini that I bought for a vacation gone past that I didn't actually wear as I didn't feel comfortable in it. For my competition, I have chosen to get a silver bikini to show off my lovely natural gray highlights in my hair! The bikini for the competition will have a lot less material than this one! Is there fear with that knowledge? You bet there is! I have confidence in my Coach and know that she will guide me to the desired outcome of rocking the stage!
