After my run, I had my superfood protein shake, got ready, and then headed to meet Sue. It was a lovely visit and I really appreciated her bringing me my brain and sleep support system that I forgot to order this month. The brain support has lots of nutrients in in such a turmeric that are wonderful for my brain and really help me to keep it in tip top shape. Healthy Aging at it's finest! The sleep spray has melatonin in it to ensure that I have great sleep! As we grow into higher numbers of age, our body produces less of it's own melatonin. To take it in a spray formula that is held under the tongue for absorption is the best way to take it. When it is taken in a capsule formula, it is processed by the stomach and the liver and a lot of it is lost in this process. Sublingual, under the tongue, is also a great way to get other nutrients such as vitamin B12.
After tea, I headed home to get Joe so we could go into town to pick Ethan up from his sleepover. He had a great time! They went swimming at the military base gym, had dinner which was homemade chili, and then headed to the movies. They stayed up very late having fun playing tablet together. This meant an early bed for Ethan tonight!
We went and got groceries and then headed home to put up our Christmas decorations. Ethan put up the tree while I did my lower body weights and then had my other superfood protein shake with Recover in it. Then Ethan and I decorated the tree while Joe put up the outdoor lights.
After dinner, which was cabbage roll casserole, Ethan and I built his gingerbread house that his grandmother got him. It isn't gluten-free so he can't eat it, but we had fun building it. He also enjoyed eating some of the candies! Here's a picture of the tree and the gingerbread house.
After building the gingerbread house, it was early to bed for Ethan with his late night at the sleepover on Saturday and school on Monday morning.
I got lunches packed for the next day and then headed to bed myself. I read the rest of the 7th chapter in The Power of Focus and headed off to sleep too.
It was a wonderful weekend!
