When Ethan got up I made him a half a shake as a snack before brunch and then he and I read some more in The Land of Stories.
When Joe got home, Irealized that we had to leave in half and hour so I rushed to get ready and pack my food for the day. It was another busy day for us away from home.
We got to the buffet to discover that it was just a breakfast buffet and so there was nothing that I could eat. I ordered some hot water and had a tea. After breakfast we headed back to Joe's parent's house for cake to celebrate the 3 birthdays - Joe's Dad's, Joe's Grandma's, and our niece Maggie's. Of course I did not have cake, but I did eat my chicken and peas. Good thing that I packed some food for myself! I have just learned to do so as there often aren't things I can eat with my current eating requirements coupled with my allergies. We visited for a bit and then headed into town to another birthday party. This one was for Ethan's friend Hening.
On the way to the birthday party, I had my third meal of the day which was salmon and broccoli.
The birthday party was at the Westbrook soccer dome. They played Bubble Soccer. Here is a picture of Ethan in his bubble.
While at the soccer dome I had a good call with Coach Michelle. I had texted her that I was feeling discouraged due to the lack of movement in my measurements. She adjusted my eating program this week and added another day of weight training. This means this week I have 7 days of cardio at 35 minutes for each session and then weight for 5 days with Monday being lower body, Tuesday being upper body, Wednesday being upper body, Thursday being lower body, and Friday being the second day upper body workout again. On Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday I also do core. My eating will consist of a cleanse day, alternating low with lowest days and 1 low-medium day. The low days I can have my flax, chia, or hemp seeds in my protein shakes and meat and veg meals. The lowest days I do not get the flax, chia, or hemp seeds in my protein shakes and I eat meat and veg meals. The low-medium day I get the flax, chia, and hemp seeds in my shakes and I get two meat and veg meals with a meat, veg, and carb meal. We will definitely see some movement this week with the changes! I am taking that one to the bank!
Ethan had a soccer game so we left the party after the soccer game and headed to his hockey game. His team won this game as well. They are really playing well together and have gotten team play and passing down. It is definitely showing in their results.
After hockey I had my other superfood protein shake and then we headed home.
When we got home we had dinner which was meat balls and green beans for me.
After dinner we got laundry done and things prepared for Monday. Ethan and I finished up The Land of Stories so that it can go back to the library on Monday and then he headed to sleep. I read some in my Elon Musk book and then headed off to sleep myself.
Today's lesson is to focus on the wins (and in the case of my competition, the loses of 0.5 lbs) instead of what didn't happen. This is a good reminder for me each day as I can focus on what I didn't do or what didn't happen instead of what I did do or what did happen.
