Ethan and I got to the rink in time for hockey. There was no stairs on the agenda for me today, unfortunately. I tweaked my knee earlier in the week and so have been wrapping it and then doing brisk walks on the treadmill for my cardio.
Here's a picture of Ethan doing one of the drills this morning. He's in the red helmet.
After his breakfast, I took him to school and then headed home. I did my cardio and then did some work until it was time to pick Ethan up from school.
The weather got nasty so I went in early to get him and then we came home. We waited until it was time to go to guitar practice. Since it is just down the road from our house, we went, but the roads were quite nasty - not plowed and no salt or sand on them. I stayed near the middle of the road unless a car came and we made it home safely.
I made Ethan dinner, we played a board game, chatted with Joe, and then read some in The Land of Stories book that we are reading together. After he went to sleep, I read some in The Year of Yes and then headed off to sleep myself.
Today's lesson is to listen to your body. It knows what it needs and will give you clues. If you don't take the clues when they're gentle, your body will scream louder until you listen!
