After my meditation, I got up and did my measurements (see below) for the beginning of my second program on the journey to the stage for my bikini fitness competition in May. I then got my food packed for the day and got ready to go to Ethan's hockey game. I had my superfood protein shake.
When we got to the game, I had my second meal of the day which was chicken and pea pods.
Ethan and his team won their game. Ethan played really well. Joe and I received some gift cards for volunteering at the tournament in December which was unexpected and a nice surprise. We also learned that Ethan will get a player of the game gift for his part in the final game of the competition. The coach's son wanted to give Ethan his gift because he felt that he wouldn't have been able to do what he did (score 5 goals) without Ethan being back on defense as he was! The coach was able to secure another gift and will present it to Ethan at practice this coming week. I am excited to see his face! At the end of the competition game, the coach had told Ethan that he would give him the player of the game gift too if he had another one! Cool that he was able to get another one and that Ethan will indeed get the gift!
After the game, Joe's parent invited us out to go ice fishing. Yep, we can do that! We all love to ice fish! Ethan caught his very first pike when he was 3 years old. The fish was as big as he was! He was quite proud to have provided dinner for the family that night!
Joe's dad grabbed some minnows, we ran some errands, and then headed home to grab our gear. I had my third meal of the day which was turkey and broccoli and cauliflower on the way home. We spent the afternoon out on the ice and had a good time. Before I began fishing I did my cardio by hiking around the lake on my snowshoes. Here's a picture of me jigging.
We had dinner at Joe's parent's house. I had pork roast and pea pods that I brought.
Joe cleaned the fish and then we headed home. I did my core exercises, washed up the outdoor clothes, had a nice hot shower to warm up, and then got ready for bed. Nothing like an afternoon of fresh air to make for a good night of sleep!
This week I will be doing 1 cleanse day, 5 low days which is just meat and veg, and then 1 medium-low day which is 2 meals of meat and veg and then 1 meal of meat, veg, and carb. I think that the free meal is not great for me as when I have sweets I have a hard time to get away from them again. I am looking forward to the carb meal as I enjoy sweet potatoes and such.
