We headed to Ottawa to go skating on the canal. When we left I ate my second meal of the day which was hamburger and broccoli for a medium day. On the way to Ottawa, we stopped at Little Ray's Reptile Zoo to see the corn snake that Ethan would like to adopt. Unfortunately, she is housed off site and so we didn't get to meet her. I am almost as excited as Ethan is to get the snake. I always wanted one when I was a young girl, but had lizards instead. If you're in the market for a reptile, please check out Little Ray's non-profit adoption page on Facebook - Backyard Conservation Fund of Canada. Their process is quite easy and very reasonably priced at $50 for a snake. There's a questionnaire to complete and you need to show proof of an appropriate living environment for them. We already have a 30 gallon aquarium from when Ethan had fish so we're all set with the rest of the required equipment being made available to us from Little Ray's.
During the rest of the drive to Ottawa, I had my third meal of the day which was salmon, asparagus, and steel cut oats for a medium day.
When we arrived, we learned that the canal was closed. We were going to go skating at city hall and check out Winterlude; however, it was packed! There were so many people that the lines weren't moving so we decided to head home.
On the way home I ate my fourth meal of the day which was hamburg, green beans, and rice for a medium day.
When we got home I did my workout which was cardio and lower body. After my workout I had my other superfood protein shake. My cardio was supposed to be skating, but that didn't happen. I enjoyed my ride on Joe's triathlon bike set up on the trainer in the basement almost as much as I would have liked the skating. It would have been a gorgeous day for skating! It looks like we'll have to wait until next year to go skating on the canal again.
After my workout, we watched a movie and then headed to bed. I read some in my Elon Musk book and then headed off to sleep.
