For my second meal I had pork and broccoli.
I spent the morning speaking to people about their health and nutrition.
For my third meal of the day I had chicken thighs, cauliflower, and sweet potato.
I spent the afternoon speaking to people about their health and nutrition. I found it interesting that folks who were eating cupcakes and cookies as they walked past my table would look at my display and then walk sheepishly on by. I would have loved to speak with them about how nutrition is all about lifestyle and that it is ok to have a cupcake or cookie on occasion. It just needs to be that 80% of the time they need to eat quality protein along with lots of veggies, a little bit of fruit, and a little bit of quality complex carbohydrates such as whole grains like quinoa, brown rice, squash, sweet potato, etc. I enjoyed some great conversations with folks who are ready to make a change in their life. They took my business card and we'll see if they follow through. It's never too late to start and even small changes can make a big difference for a person's health. Are you ready to make a change in your life? If so, I'd love to speak with you about your current lifestyle so we can determine some small and easy to implement changes that over time will add up to big changes in your health and quality of life.
During the afternoon, I had my other superfood protein shake with chia seeds in it.
At the end of the day, I headed home to pick up Ethan and Joe. We headed to town to go for dinner. We dropped Luke off at my Mom's house and gave him his dinner. Once at the restaurant, I had baked salmon, broccoli, and rice. WE headed back to my Mom's to take Luke for his walk and then we headed over to our friend's house to visit and play board games for the evening.
We had a great time despite Ethan and Rowan banging heads on the trampoline. It was a great lesson for Ethan about the importance of only having one person on the trampoline at a time as the guidelines on them suggest. Here's a picture of him with his shiner that he got from the incident.
I was glad to have a homeopathic remedy, arnica montana, with me to relieve the pain as well as assist his body to begin the healing process. He sat with ice on his eye on and off for the remainder of the evening while we played games which assisted with the swelling. Do you know what homeopathy is? It is an amazing system of healing that is natural, non-invasive,
We headed to my Mom's to pick up Luke and then went home. We got home quite late for us and headed straight to bed.
Today's lesson was that the only person we can change is ourselves as well as that people need to be ready and want to change. It doesn't matter how badly I want it for them!
