I got things ready for the day as quickly as I could and then headed to my Mom's to drop Luke off as I had an appointment with my hairdresser, Kirk. I then headed to drop Ethan off at school. He was quite late. I called the school on the way in to let them know that he would arrive at 930 which is what time I dropped him off. When I arrived, his teacher had a discussion with me about coming into the room to drop Ethan's bag off. I was not impressed! I found it quite inappropriate to have a discussion with me in front of the children and I did not respond well. I indicated that the reason that I brought Ethan's bag was that it was too heavy for him to carry with his daily water in it. She indicated that she would carry it.
I headed to my hair appointment and arrived late there too. Needless to say my day did not begin well! I had my second meal of the day on the way to my appointment. It was pork roast and Brussels sprouts.
I decided that I didn't want to cut my hair this time as it was just starting to get some length so I asked Kirk to try a style for my competition. It isn't exactly what I was looking for, but it was fun to do anyway and looked nice. Here are a few pictures that he took.
I had my other superfood protein shake on the way to get Ethan.
We headed to get dinner before his hockey game. I had an elk burger patty on a bed of lettuce with avocado slices on it, steamed broccoli, and some sweet potato.
After dinner we headed to the hockey rink and watched a bit of the game that was going on when we got there. Then Ethan got dressed for his game. Joe drove to Kingston to see the game. He fed Luke before he came to the game and then I went back after the game and took Luke for his walk and then brought him home. Ethan's team won their game. They are really playing well together and are really getting into the passing game which is great to see!
When I got home, I read Ethan some in The Land of Stories, Joe headed back to Ottawa, and then Ethan and I went to sleep. I was still feeling tired out from allowing myself to get depleted.
Today's lesson is that I am working hard not to beat myself up for not listening to my body! I so know better and am regretting the way that I have been feeling since last weekend!
