Today I lead book club call where we discussed Chapter 10. It was a great conversation and ended up being a wonderful coaching session about it being ok to need to focus inwards sometimes instead of being in action as well as perseverance and keeping moving towards your goals once you get back up from being knocked down. Sometimes crappy things happen and we need to acknowledge that. Sometimes we need to sit with it for a bit. The idea is that we don't want to live here. We want to reflect on the situation, even have a short pity party, but then get back up, dust off, and put the next foot forward.
After book club call, my coaching session continued with my mentor, Suzan. I absolutely adore this woman! She has such a wealth of knowledge to share and is so very generous in sharing it with as well as the rest of out team. I am so grateful to have her in my life! She teaches me so many things and she does it with grace. Do you have someone in your life like this? I sure hope so!
After speaking with Suzan, I packed up my food for the day and got ready to head to town. Today was a medium day so besides my two superfood protein shakes (one with flax and the other with chia), I had three meals. One of the meals was meat and green veggies and the other two were meat, green veggies, and a complex carbohydrate. Today I chose butternut squash that I baked in the oven. So yummy!
Ethan and I headed to town to meet his friend, Rowan, at the Playtrium for a play date. While the boys played together I had a wonderful visit with Rowan's Mom and my friend, Paula.
After we left the Playtrium, we dropped Rowan and Paula off at home and then headed to the chiropractor.
When we got home, I did my core exercises and cardio workout and then had my other superfood protein shake. After dinner, Ethan and I watched a movie and then headed to bed. We read a chapter in The Land of Stories and then headed to bed. I read some in Thrive and then headed off to sleep myself.
