Ethan got up and held Peach and the got ready for school. I dropped Ethan off at school and headed back home to work for the day. I spent the day doing what I have been doing for the last couple of weeks - writing cover letters and applying for jobs. It takes quite a while to write an effective cover letter!
It was interesting to see some of the responses to my post of facebook about getting Ethan's snake. I have always wanted a snake and think they are quite beautiful so I don't understand the fear of snakes myself. She is soft and gentle and quite harmless. I felt grateful that I am willing to face my fears and that as I do I gradually overcome them. I do understand that fears are real though - whether they are logical or not! When I was battling my fear of heights - or more appropriately, my fear of falling, it was a challenging time!
In the afternoon, I had my coaching call with my good friend and my authenticity/life coach, Darcy. I was in a bit of funk since I haven't had luck finding a job yet and so we worked through that. The lesson to be had through this challenging time for me is about remaining who I am despite my current circumstances. This is a challenging lesson and one that I come in and out of. We also talked about how it was just a decision that I had to make and that it would make things a lot easier on me when I chose to approach the situation from this place instead of from my funk.
After the coaching call, I did my upper body workout, had my other superfood protein shake, and then headed to get Ethan. We went to his guitar practice and then headed home for dinner.
It was a low day for me so besides my two superfood protein shakes, I had three meals which consisted of meat and veggies.
After dinner, Ethan held Peach for a while and then got ready for bed. We read a chapter in The Land of Stories and then I had my team call for our event this weekend. Here's a copy of the poster. I sure hope you can join us at this fun-filled family event to celebrate our bodies and taste some nutrition packed and delicious food!
