It was another great day of training. I took tons of notes and really enjoyed the speakers, one of which was Shannon Szabados who was the goalie for the Olympic women's hockey team. She spoke of the commitment and dedication that are required to achieve a goal that you are working towards. She spoke of how you have to dig your heels in despite set backs. She talked about how the path to the goal might change, but the goal remains the same. This was an especially important message for me with the recent changes in my path to my ultimate goal. It was here the I really came to the realization that I may have to get a job for the time being, but that it doesn't mean that it is my forever path. It is just a step on the changing path to my desired goal.
It was a medium day so besides my two superfood protein shakes, I had one meal that was meat and veggies and then the other two meals were meat, veggies, and butternut squash.
Joe and I left and headed to my posing coach's place. I did two hours of work! We practiced my bikini routine and then I learned my figure routine. I was exhausted at the end of it and had my last superfood protein shake with some Recover in it for my tired muscles!
After posing practice, we left to drive home. On the way, we talked to Ethan and learned that he won his hockey game. He was quite happy with his performance in the game. Grandma said that it was a very exciting game.
Today's re-learn was that besides the nutrition and sleeping, posing practice is the next most important part of the competition journey! Boy is it challenging! Those ladies make it look so easy when they do it ...but I know that I will get there too!
