After dropping Ethan at school, I headed home to do my upper body workout and do some work.
I headed back into town early and had my coaching call with Darcy. We discussed and clarified my learns about managing my emotions. As always, it was a highly effective call. I am so grateful to be working with him!
Today was a ketosis day 1 day. This meant that I got nut butter in the superfood protein shakes, two meals of high fat meat and green veggies, and a low fat meat with nuts and green veggies. As my water test continued, today I needed to consume 5 L of water.
After my call with Darcy, Ethan and I headed to guitar practice. He is learning a challenging finger picking song and is doing extremely well!
After guitar we headed home and had dinner and then went to bed. We read a chapter in The Land of Stories and then Ethan headed off to sleep. I read some in my Awaken the Giant Within book and then headed to sleep myself as I didn't sleep great with my new cpap machine. I ended up switching to my appliance part way through the night and have decided to wait until after my competition to ease into using it again. I remember now that there was an adjustment period for me and right now sleep is imperative for my competition results!
Did you know that getting enough sleep affects your body's ability to manage weight? When we are tired, we tend to eat more to keep going and it tends to be unhealthy foods that we consume for that energy. Also, when we sleep is when our body repairs and detoxifies. This means that if you are not getting enough quality sleep your body doesn't repair and detoxify properly which affects your ability to perform properly the next day.
