After dropping Ethan off at school, I volunteered at the soup kitchen. It was great to be back after being unable to go for so long! After that I headed home to do my lower body workout as we were heading to Ottawa after I got Ethan from school.
It was a ketosis day 1 day which looked like two superfood protein shakes with nut butter in them and three meals. Two of the meals were high fat meat with green veggies and the other one was low fat meat with nuts and green veggies.
After getting Ethan from school, we headed to Ottawa to attend the Live Out Loud event. I so love talking about health and nutrition and the solutions that I use to maintain mine! It was a great evening. I had an interesting conversation with a lady who is working to prevent gastric bypass surgery.
I have been hearing about a lot of people having this procedure lately and I have to tell you that I was very excited to hear that this woman was working to prevent it. Gastric bypass is highly dangerous! I know of people who died after eating their first meal following surgery. I also know of tons of people who cannot digest food anymore and still more who are unable to absorb nutrients properly anymore. If you are considering this procedure, please reach out to me so we can talk about strategies to help you avoid it! It is just not worth the "quick fix" which still takes a long time to lose the weight and wrecks your health for the rest of your life!
