It was a ketosis day 2 day so that meant two superfood protein shakes and three meals of low fat meat with green veggies.
I spent the day catching up on posts that I have missed doing with being sick. It felt great to get them done!
Late in the afternoon, I did my lower body weight workout. It was wonderful to get back into my weights again. I was feeling anxious with my competition being so close. Our muscles begin to atrophy within a week of not using them. I worked hard over the last 8 months! I didn't want to lose all that hard work! The workout did tire me out more than usual so I knew that I still wasn't quite back to myself.
After dinner, Ethan, Joe and I watched a movie. It was Walt Before Mickey. It was a great story and really gave me hope that if Walt Disney can come from the trenches and fight his way to the top, so can I. We often look upon celebrities with awe and place them on pedestals forgetting that they are just regular people the same as we are. The only difference is that they didn't quit when things got hard and they kept getting back up when they fell down and moving towards their dream. It reinforced for me that the only way we can ever really fail is if we quit!
After the movie, we all headed to bed. I felt good knowing that I was back on my workout schedule, but at the same time respecting my body's need for extra rest.
