I then packed up my food and Ethan's lunch and then got ready for the day. The rest of my food for a low fat ketosis day looked like three meals of low fat white meat and 1 cup of green veggies.
I headed in to take Ethan to school and then headed back home to work for the day. I began to feel a little off and extremely tired on my way home so when I got home, I laid down for a nap figuring that I just hadn't slept well the night before. I set my alarm so I could get up and get some work done before it was time to go and get Ethan from school.
When I got up at my alarm time, I felt terrible! I had a headache, I was dizzy, and I was weak. I set my alarm for the time I needed to leave to go and get Ethan and then headed back to sleep. When I got up to get Ethan, I felt really awful. I tried to find someone to pick Ethan up fromo school and bring him home, but was unable to so I headed in to get him. This is what happens to me when I get off my adaptogenic tonic! The last time I was sick was at Christmas when I ran out of my adaptogenic tonic. I'm sure looking forward to getting back on it after my competition is over. It's just a few more weeks. There are too many carbohydrates in it to fit into my ketosis program.
When we got home, I made his dinner and laid down on the couch until it was time to go to bed. Needless to say I did not do my lower weight workout! I read Ethan a chapter in The Land of Stories and then went to sleep myself.
Sunday's are weigh in days, so here's my measurements from yesterday, as promised.
Day 1 Program 3
Day 14 Program 3
When you're on a plateau, that's all it takes is to change things up a bit. Either add a bit more exercise, eat a little less, or change what you're eating! If this doesn't budge the tape measure and scale then combine two or all three of them!
The reason that you need to change things up a bit is because our body becomes more efficient and adapts to what we are doing. It is best to always keep it guessing, but continually feed it so that it doesn't go into starvation mode and just store whatever you eat.
