After my workout I had a superfood protein shake with nut butter in it, got my food packed, and got ready for the day.
I dropped Ethan off at school and then headed to my appointment at the sleep clinic. As I sure you are aware, I have sleep apnea. I have an oral appliance which works amazingly; however, I get a sore jaw from time to time and I find that it takes about an hour or so for my jaw to go back each morning after I take the appliance out. Due to this and the fact that if you keep stretching something it eventually doesn't go back, I decided that it was time to also get a sleep apnea cpap machine. The doctor told me to come back if the appliance wasn't working and he'd set me up with an automatic adjusting machine. Part of the reason that I went with the appliance instead of the machine in the first place was because the place that I had the trial machine from the first time gave me a constant flow machine which didn't work for me! It caused bloating in my stomach, pain in my chest, and I would wake in the night and rip it off. It wasn't a solution for me. When I had the automatic adjusting one it was like I was a new person! At any rate, this time I will go to a new place to get my automatic adjusting machine with a lower pressure setting. I'll use the machine for when I am at home and then I will have my appliance for when I travel. It's a win/win situation!
After my appointment I headed to my Mom's to work until it was time to get Ethan from school. We headed home and I did my upper body workout. After my workout we had dinner and then we headed to bed. I read Ethan a chapter in The Land of Stories. we're currently on the last book in the series and I am quite enjoying reading it with him! I checked in with my friend, Sarah, to report on how our 120-Day Challenge was going, answered my Healthy Mind and Body questions, and read a little in Unshakeable while I waited for the time for my team call.
I lead the call and talked about lessons that I learned from working with my mentor, Suzan. It was a challenging call for me with my brain still fuzzy and the fact that I had just learned that I would be leading the call a few hours before. My team pulled together and helped me through the call and said that I had done a great job. After the call I headed off to sleep.
