It was a medium day so I prepared three meals, one with just meat and veggies and the other two with meat, veggies, and sweet potato.
I dropped Ethan off at school along with his road hockey stick and some nerf gun supplies as he was headed to his friend, Alistair's, for a play date after school. Since it was going to be later than usual that I was picking Ethan up, I headed home to work again so that I could do my second workout in the afternoon. On the way home, I lead book club call to wrap up the Elon Musk book that we were reading. We talked about our takeaways and what we would implement into our lives. It was another great conversation. The next book that we are starting is Unshakeable by Tony Robbins. Grab the book and join in the conversation! I did some more studying and work and had a chat with Coach Michelle about my next program. I still owe her measurements and pictures so once I get those done, I will be sure to post them here in my blog for you as well! I'm pretty excited about the next program that we are going to implement. We are going to put me into ketosis, not to be confused with the very dangerous diabetic condition (ketoacidosis). Ketosis is when the body is forced to burn stored fat for fuel energy because there is no stored carbohydrate energy in the muscles. Basically it is higher protein, moderate fats, and low carbohydrates. I will begin this new program on Sunday and it will be the program that I use until my competition on May 6th.
In the afternoon I did my core exercises and my other cardio workout, got cleaned up, and then headed to pick Ethan up from his play date.
We headed home, I made his dinner, and then we got ready for bed. We read a chapter in The Land of Stories and then I read some in Unshakeable and headed off to sleep.
